but even I can tell this is all staged.
The depiction in this movie
is quite different from the actual Normandy landings.
Real war must be much more low-key and plain.
The beach should have been much wider and more desolate,
and you probably died in the pitch dark
without ever seeing the enemy’s face.
It's a "low-key hell"—not a flashy cinematic showdown
tailored for a multiplex cinema.
The whole thing feels a bit fake.
